Locus Loran Receiver and Antenna Products
Limited Warranty
Locus, Incorporated is a designer and supplier of premier Loran receiver and antenna products. All products designed and supplied by Locus are designed in accordance with sound electrical and electronic design techniques and are manufactured with controlled, quality workmanship under the guidelines set forth by ISO9001 standards. Products are warranted for one (1) year from date of purchase. During this one year period, Locus will replace or repair, at its option, products that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship. Locus' labor and materials are provided under the terms of this Warranty.
Any damage to a Locus Loran product arising from improper use,
installation, maintenance, or unauthorized modification, in the
view of Locus, shall invalidate this Warranty. No other Warranty
is expressed or implied.
To return a product for repair, the Customer must request a Return
Materials Authorization (RMA) number. Product(s) returned without
a prior-authorized RMA number will not be accepted by Locus.
Service under the conditions of this Warranty requires prepaid
shipment on incoming authorized repair units; Locus will cover return
shipping costs within the continental U.S. only. Locus is not responsible
for any costs associated with duty/VAT and other freight related
expenses outside the continental U.S. Allow five (5) working days
for return shipment of repaired goods.
Service on units no longer under Warranty will be billed on a time
and materials basis. There shall be a minimum service charge per
return, depending on the Loran product. Labor shall be charged at
Locus’ then-prevailing service rates. Materials costs shall
be fixed by Locus and billed to the Customer. If any parts are required,
there will be a minimum charge per return, depending on the Loran
product. For products no longer under Warranty, all shipping costs
shall be borne by the Customer.
If an out-of-warranty unit is repaired, Locus will warranty only
the failed part of the unit, not the entire unit, for a ninety (90)
day period, i.e. if the same unit is returned for repair within
the ninety (90) day period, and the same part fails, it will be
repaired at no cost. If a different part in that unit fails, a service
and/or parts charge will apply.
All reasonable efforts will be made by Locus to provide timely
service of units.
