Loran
Receivers & Related Products
|
Locus designs, supplies, and supports the highest quality navigation
and timing products for major companies and government agencies
around the world. Locus’ digital, all-in-view Loran receivers
provide unparalleled performance to complement GNSS in navigation,
time/frequency, and monitoring applications. Locus’ Loran
receivers are eLoran
ready, which means that with a software upgrade, you’ll be
able to access the eLoran system when it’s operational in
your part of the world. Our Loran products are grouped into four
categories: |
| |
CsSync Series Receivers
Locus CsSync Loran-C receivers offer Stratum-1 timing performance
indefinitely, including independent UTC generation, and can operate
in deep urban canyons and densely-foliaged areas where line-of-sight
blockage prevents GPS penetration. Cellular companies use Locus
CsSync products, as they allow complete freedom of placement for
cell base stations and provide an infinite, completely independent
back-up to GPS.
|
| |
SatMate Series Receivers
Incorporating adaptive filtering, digital noise blanking and other
proprietary digital signal processing (DSP) techniques, Locus’
SatMate receivers provide vast oceanic and air space coverage and
complete penetration into dense urban environments, regardless of
ambient weather or interference conditions. SatMate can be combined
with GPS receivers to form an integrated system offering the most
reliable, accurate navigation performance, regardless of the application.

LAD Loran LRS IIID
Locus' LRS IIID is the most sophisticated Loran monitoring receiver
in the world, and was specially designed to meet USCG specifications.
It can track over 40 stations simultaneously, and replaces as many
as five other monitoring receivers. The U.S. and Canadian Coast
Guards use LRS IIID to monitor and control and North American Loran
transmissions, and LRS IIIDs have recently been installed by the
Japanese Coast Guard as well. |

Antennas
Locus provides two types of antennas for use with its Loran receivers,
the Locus E-Field Antenna and the Locus H-Field Antenna. CsSync
and SatMate receivers can operate with either H-Field or E-Field
antennas. The LRS IIID requires a special E-Field antenna that permits
operation right at the Loran transmitter site. |
