DSP Software Engineer

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other engineering discipline with an emphasis on signal processing, control and/or mathematics.
  • Three or more years experience with embedded software design.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
  • Self-starter with a team-player attitude.

Major duties and responsibilities will include

As a product development team member you will be designing and writing sophisticated DSP software that will be incorporated into Locus products. We are recruiting a candidate for our Engineering department with the following talents and experience:

  • A proven ability to define and implement signal processing algorithms on commercially available DSPs using C and assembly code. These algorithms are for real-time processing of radio frequency signals and the extraction of encoded information from these signals..
  • A strong background in mathematics and digital signal processing theory.
  • Solid software design practices.
  • The ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented design environment.
  • Solid writing skills for generating engineering support documentation.
  • Additionally, a strong background in physics would be considered a plus, as would previous experience with error correction and encryption schemes.
